Educational Work

Muhlenberg College
Puppetry, Clown and Devising Classes

These college-level classes explored how puppetry and clown theatre lend themselves to original, physical and interdisciplinary work. The exercises and projects focused on spontaneity, authenticity, and creating the show that is “in the room.”

Object Theatre
Text Study Workshops

Object Theatre is a powerful tool for creative text study, as the creator-performer thoughtfully chooses objects to play the characters. Workshop participants have in-depth conversations about a story, developing and sharing their unique point of view. Ora has brought her object theatre workshops to kids, families and educators.

Puppet Manipulation
Workshops

These puppetry workshops empower kids and adults with basic puppetry manipulation skills. Participants learn basic hand and/or tabletop puppetry techniques through exercises that focus on breath, movement and ensemble. Ora has also worked as a puppetry coach, supporting educators interested in using puppets in the classroom.
